A classic higher-contrasting medley. Here, the stark interplay between black granite and white marble is mediated by the more traditional ochre of granite. This 3 colour varietal displays a broad spectrum of traits when exposed to direct light, darker shades and everything in between. Direct sunlight brings forth the light grey dominance of ‘Ash’ marble, reflecting the brilliance of the suns rays, which outshines the black of granite. Where shadows fall, it is the granite that predominates – an absence of light turning the white marble to a subdued grey. Complexity is orchestrated by the Calca. Black-white contrast is mediated by vibrant warmed red-ochre complimenting the marble in direct sun, whilst sinking back from red to dark brown in the shade, almost indistinguishable from the granite.
